- OneStory Introductory Workshop (5 days) Learn to internalize, tell, and discuss stories crafted for a specific worldview. Become familiar with the OneStory process for crafting, testing, and consulting Bible stories.
- Language and Culture Acquisition Workshop (5 days) Learn oral and interactive methods for learning a language and adjusting to cross-cultural living.
- On-site language and culture learning Find a mother-tongue speaker of the language to act as a language helper. Work one-on-one with language helper, build other relationships in the community, and observe and participate in the local culture. Questers are ready for the next stage of the project when they have enough language to begin facilitating story crafting.
- Advanced Storycraftinging Workshop (2 weeks) Continue story fellowship group training. Gaining skill in Cross language story crafting, testing, and documentation processes. Discuss redemptive themes and story set selection.
- Story Crafting: Exploratory Phase (First 10 crafted stories) Begin crafting stories with mother-tongue story crafters and getting feedback from other speakers of the host language. Send transcripts of the stories to a storycraftinging consultant for checking.
- Process Check (2-3 days) The consultant observes the crafting and feedback process onsite and gives suggestions about how to improve the process. The consultant decides if the team is ready to move on to Production Phase.
- Story Crafting: Production Phase Continue crafting stories and sending to the consultant for checking. Teams are typically able to increase the pace at which they craft new stories at this stage.
- Multiplication Workshop (5 days) Internalize and discuss stories from the book of Acts and pray for host communities based on those stories.
- Story Fellowship Groups. Start small groups where people will learn each story in a group and share it with others.
- Recording and Media Workshop (2.5 days) Learn how to make studio-quality recordings and formulate a plan for mass distribution of the stories.
- Community Check Invite a cross-section of host people (old and young, believers and unbelievers) to listen to all the stories in order. Facilitate discussion about key terms and other potential issues and make notes of any changes that need to be made.
- Final Review The consultant and team look at all the stories in sequence to identify any remaining issues, including consistency and flow.
- High Quality Recording Record the whole story set in a format that can be distributed to story group leaders and others.
- Multiplication Phase Focus shifts full-time toward multiplication of storytellers and broad sowing of stories.
